The woodworking CNC router is divided into single process, double process, three four process, etc. The number of cutter heads that can be replaced in the woodworking CNC router is relatively small, and the woodworking CNC router mainly carves plates with simple patterns and colors. The woodworking center generally has 8, 12 or more replaceable cutter heads, mainly carving more complex board patterns.
The two have a lot in common, but they have many differences. Let's take a look:
First, the most intuitive is the number of cutter heads. The woodworking CNC router has four cutter heads, and the machining center has four or more cutter heads.

Second, CNC router generally has multiple spindles, three spindles for three processes, four spindles for four processes, and each spindle has a cutter head. The spindle can sink and work with which cutter head is needed. The machining center has only one spindle, but it has a tool magazine with multiple tool heads. When a tool needs to be changed, the spindle will automatically move the tool magazine to select a suitable tool head for machining.
Third, in terms of engraving speed and accuracy, the processing accuracy and speed of the engraving machine are lower than those of the machining center, because there is a certain difference between their configurations. The price of machining centers is high, and the configuration is relatively high. Therefore, the machining center is higher than the engraving machine in terms of engraving speed and accuracy.

Fourth, the restrictions on the cutter head limit the engraving machine to simple operations such as engraving and drilling. In addition to the engraving function, the machining center also has the functions of cutting, engraving, side milling, and chamfering.
