Comparison between plasma cutting and flame cutting

Plasma cutting and flame cutting:

1. Better plasma cutting quality:
The melting speed is fast, the hot area is concentrated, and it is not easy to cause deformation of the workpiece;
The cutting surface is smooth and clean with less slag hanging, which significantly reduces the workload of secondary processing;
When cutting workpieces with sheet thickness less than 40mm, there are obvious advantages in both quality and speed.

2. The cutting range of plasma is wider: plasma can cut carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper and other metals, and the flame is mainly used to cut carbon steel.

3. Higher production efficiency:
The time of perforation is greatly shortened.
The plasma cutting machine does not need to preheat the workpiece, and it can be directly processed.
Plasma cutting has obvious speed advantage when cutting materials with thickness less than 40mm. Especially when cutting 20mm workpiece, the speed of 200A plasma cutting machine can reach 6~8 times of flame cutting.

4. The cutting speed, cutting speed and comprehensive operating cost of plasma cutting machine are far lower than those of flame cutting, especially when the workpiece thickness is less than 40mm.
